an introduction

After three years of pursuit, my endless infatuation with the boy of 2002 came to a close. I gained enough experience at writing about my own emotions by writing about how I felt about him. Some of the last few poems that I wrote under his influence were both angry and bitter, the last of the stock being "At Last It's Cleaning Time", when I was finally able to banish him from the radar. Eventually I also wrote "Sympathy Card", which was my toast to him after he was turned down in the same matter that I was. This was also about the time when I started becoming more creative with titles and subject matter, with poems such as "Tanning at 30 Degrees Celcius" and "Letter to My Uterus". Then, in early August I met an older postal courier at my workplace who eventually gained my interest. He eventually became the subject of my more witty and direct sense of style, which is depicted in "Age Is Just A Number" and "Weekdays Portrayed by White".
