an introduction

Nearing the end of 2004, I decided that I wanted to make myself the resolution to write at least two short stories for every month of the year. It was my way of experimenting with deadlines, so some months were easier than others, and the occasional writer's block only imitated the sound of death knocking on my door. During this time I was also flogged down with the pressures of high school graduation, though I somehow managed to conjure up enough stories to supply what would become my most productive year of writing.
